Costa Rica declared war with Germany on May 23, 1918. Haiti declared war with Germany on July 15, 1918. Honduras declared war with Germany on July 22, 1918. Romania re-entered the war on the side of the Allies on November 10, 1918.
The Allies concluded an armistice with Germany on November 11, 1918.
The Peace Treaty of Versailles was an agreement at the end of the war where the British Empire, France, Italy, Japan and the United States formalized Germany’s consequences for the war. German representatives signed the agreement on June 28, 1919.
Territorial changes as a result of the war: Germany ceded Alsace-Lorraine to France, Eupen and Malmedy to Belgium and North Schleswig to Denmark. Significant areas of German land passed to Czechoslovakia and Poland. German claims to lands that had been ceded by Russia in the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk were nullified. The League of Nations, created by the Peace Treaty of Versailles, took control of Germany's colonies.
